ANDINE EXPEDITION – DISCOVER THE WONDER OF RAINBOW MOUNTAIN AND SEVEN LAKES IN 2 DAYS/1 NIGHT
DAY: 1 CUSCO – RAINBOW MOUNTAIN VINICUNCA
On the first day of this tour, you should be ready to be picked up from your hotel at 3.00 am
It will be a beautiful 2-and-a-half-hour ride passing through the lovely Vilcanota Valley on the way to arrive at the starting point of the trek.
Once at the beginning of the walking trail we’ll do 5 km of trekking that will take us about 2 hours to get to the top.
From the top, we will enjoy one of rainbow mountain’s most privileged views, the snow-capped peaks, rainbow mountain colors and red mountains.
You will have enough time to admire the beauty and take a lot of pictures.
Afterwards, we will hike up to the red valley where we will be able to appreciate the astonishingly red valley.
We will then walk back down to the trail head in order to have our lunch and catch our van to take us to our campsite, in the afternoon we will have the option to swim in the hot springs.
DAY 2: PACCHANTA TO SEVEN LAKES TOUR
On this, the 2nd day of the journey, we will wake up and eat an early morning breakfast in order to start our hike up to the seven lakes.
We start the day early to avoid the sun during the ascent of a mountain pass.
From here we start our 2-and-a-half-hour hike to the first lake, we’ll then start our seven-lake touring, one by one, each of the seven lakes, gazing at their charms and colors, admiring the amazing surroundings and perfectly knowing we are facing the seven best lakes.
During the descent, while we enjoy the view, we will make short stops to drink some fluids and eat our snacks.
After our visit, we hike back to Pacchanta, where we can enjoy an evening dip in its hot springs before or after our lunch is served.
Lunch and transportation to take the van back to Cusco in the afternoon, where our Tour ends.
